Replacing the MJB62830601 LG Refrigerator Door Stop Closer
1. Start by unplugging your LG refrigerator from the wall outlet or power source.
2. Open the refrigerator door, and locate the two (2) screws at the base of the door, near the bottom corners.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove each screw.
4. Carefully tilt the old door closer away from the refrigerator door, exposing the mounting bracket underneath.
5. Hold the new door closer with the mounting bracket facing outward and carefully place it in the same position as the old one. Be sure to align the holes on the mounting bracket with the screw holes in the frame of the door.
6. Re-insert the two (2) screws into the mounting bracket, and tighten them with a Phillips screwdriver.
7. Make sure the new door closer is securely fastened to the door before you close the door. Depending on your model, there may also be an adjustment button or screw on the back side of the door closer.
8. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet or power source.
9. Test that the new door closer is working properly by opening and closing the refrigerator door multiple times. The door should close tightly and quietly each time.
