1. Unplug the LG Washer from the power source and make sure that all water supply hoses are disconnected.
2. Lay a towel or other soft blanket below the washer to protect it from any potential damage during the repair process.
3. Using a wrench, remove the screws securing the back panel of the washer. Carefully set the panel aside for later.
4. Locate the SHIPPING BOLT - LONG on the back of the washer. It is usually located near the drain hose outlet.
5. Remove the old SHIPPING BOLT - LONG using an adjustable wrench.
6. Install the new SHIPPING BOLT - LONG by firmly tightening it with an adjustable wrench.
7. Replace the washer’s back panel and secure it with the screws that were removed in step 3.
8. Re-connect water supply hoses and plug the washer back into the power source.
9. Test the washer to make sure the repair was successful.
