Tools Needed:
- Philips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the power source. Working on any electrical appliance requires that the power source is unplugged for safety reasons.
Step 2: Remove the front panel of the refrigerator. Use the flathead screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws that secure the panel of the front of the refrigerator. Gently pull away the now disconnected panel and set it aside in a safe place.
Step 3: Unscrew the motor assembly. There are two screws on the assembly that must be removed with the Phillips head screwdriver. After removing these screws, use the flathead screwdriver to disconnect the two wires connecting the assembly to the main body of the fridge.
