How to Replace the EAU62343001 AC Fan Motor in an LG Range Convection Oven

Replacing the convection motor in an LG range oven can be a difficult task, but with a few simple steps, you can get the job done quickly and safely. With the right tools and equipment, you'll be able to replace the old fan motor with a new one in no time. Read on for step-by-step instructions on how to replace the EAU62343001 AC fan motor in your LG range convection oven.

Materials Needed
- Flathead Screwdriver
- Philips Head Screwdriver
- New AC fan motor (EAU62343001)

Step 1: Unplug the Oven
Before beginning any repair on the oven, it's important that the appliance be unplugged from the wall. This will ensure that you don't get shocked while working on the oven, as well as preventing any potential harm to the appliance.

Step 2: Remove the Oven's Cover
Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the screws located around the oven's perimeter. These screws secure the oven's cover to the interior body, so they will need to be removed before you can access the fan motor. Once all of the screws have been removed, carefully lift off the oven's cover and set it aside.

Step 3: Detach the Old Fan Motor
Locate the fan motor inside the oven. You will see two wires connected to it, which should be marked with numbers. Make a note of which wire is which (you will use this later when reattaching the new fan motor). Using a Philips head screwdriver, unscrew the two screws that secure the fan motor to the oven and gently pull the fan motor free.

Step 4: Attach the New Fan Motor
Take the new fan motor and locate the two corresponding wires. Reattach the wires to the new motor, using the markings and notes you made in Step 3. Then, use the Philips head screwdriver to screw the motor securely into the oven.

Step 5: Test the Oven
Once the new fan motor is firmly in place, plug the oven back into the wall. Turn the oven on and set it to its highest temperature setting. Allow the oven to heat up for at least five minutes. If the oven begins to smoke or emit a burning smell, immediately turn it off and unplug it. If the oven does not experience any issues, then the replacement was successful!

Step 6: Replace the Oven's Cover
Once the oven is tested and working properly, replace the oven's cover by aligning the screws with their respective holes. Using the flathead screwdriver, tighten all of the screws to ensure that the cover is firmly attached.

Congratulations! You have successfully replaced the EAU62343001 AC fan motor in your LG range convection oven. Monitor the oven's performance over the next few weeks to ensure that everything is functioning properly.
