DIY Instructions: Replacing the AGM73269501 LG Washer Water Inlet Valve FILTERS (2-PACK)
1. Unplug the washer from its power supply and shut off the water lines to the washer.
2. Remove the hot and cold water line hoses running to the washer by gripping the fittings with pliers and gently twisting them off. Place them aside and ensure they are in a safe place where they won’t be damaged.
3. Platform access is essential for doing this repair. If you have a front load washer, the platform will then need to be raised. Begin by undoing the clips or screws connecting the top panel to the rest of the machine. Set the top panel aside.
4. Carefully pull up the cabinet from the bottom to access the back of the valve. Unscrew the two screws that hold the valve in place. Pull out the valve.
5. Hold the old valve up to the new one to compare the two. They should be identical in size, shape, and color.
6. Insert the new filter into the designated slot in the valve. Make sure it's firmly attached.
7. Put the new valve into its place in the machine and secure it with the mounting screws. Reattach the hot and cold water line hoses.
8. Reverse the steps taken to remove the cabinet and platform access panel.
9. Plug the washer back in and turn on the water supply. Turn on the washer to test out the new valve and filter.
