Replacing the 6931EL3001E LG Dryer High Limit Thermostat

1. Unplug the dryer from its power source.

2. Open the dryer door and locate the back panel.

3. Remove the screws from the back panel, making sure to keep all of the screws in a safe place.

4. Pull out the back panel and set it aside.

5. Locate the old thermostat near the heating element. It will have two wires connecting it to the element.

6. Disconnect the two wires by twisting off the wire nuts.

7. Check the wattage rating of your new high limit thermostat, and make sure it is the same as the old one.

8. Connect the new thermostat using the same wires that were on the old one. Make sure to twist the wire nuts back on tightly.

9. Place the back panel back onto the dryer and secure with the screws.

10. Plug the dryer back into its power source.

11. Test the new thermostat by turning the dryer to its highest setting. The dryer should heat up and then shut off when it reaches its maximum temperature.
