Replacing the 6750CL0001D LG Refrigerator Door Compressor Overload Protector
Tools You Will Need:
-Screwdriver
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Needle nose pliers
-Wire cutters
Instructions:
1. Unplug your refrigerator from the power source and remove all food items from the unit.
2. Locate the overload protector on the back of the fridge, near the compressor. This will be a small, circular piece of plastic with two screws affixed to it.
3. Remove the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver and gently pull the overload protector away from the compressor.
4. Cut the wires connecting the overload protector to the power source before you discard it. Use wire cutters to do this.
5. Get the new overload protector and push the wiring through the back of the unit.
6. Secure the new overload protector onto the back of the fridge with the two screws provided.
7. Reconnect the wiring to the power source with needle nose pliers.
8. Plug your refrigerator back into the power outlet and you are done!
