1. Turn off the main power to the water heater and shut off the cold water supply that is connected to the water heater.
2. Locate the LG 5007JA3007B bypass plug, which is usually located near the top of the tank.
3. With a flathead screwdriver, carefully remove the screws that hold the bypass plug in place.
4. Pull the bypass plug from the tank, being careful not to damage any of the components inside.
5. Slide the new LG 5007JA3007B bypass plug into place and secure it with the same screws you removed earlier.
6. Once the new bypass plug is installed, reconnect the cold water supply and turn the main power back on.
