1. Shut off the refrigerator/freezer power at the breaker or fuse box.
2. Pull the refrigerator/freezer away from the wall and disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
3. Remove the condenser fan motor cover, which is typically held on by two screws.
4. Disconnect the power wire to the old motor and the ground wire.
5. Unscrew the mounting screws holding the motor in place and then carefully remove the motor.
6. Locate the new motor and make sure all wiring connections are correct.
7. Secure the motor with the original mounting screws and reconnect the power and ground wires.
8. Replace the condenser fan motor cover.
9. Reconnect the power cord to the outlet.
10. Turn the power back on at the breaker or fuse box.
11. Test the new motor by running the refrigerator/freezer for a few minutes.
