Replacing the WR55X11128 GE Water Valve Iso Assembly
1. Unplug the refrigerator from its power source.
2. Locate the water valve Iso Assembly on the back wall of your refrigerator. It is usually located near the bottom behind a panel of metal.
3. Remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove it to access the water valve.
4. Take note of where the wires are connected to the water valve as well as any clamps or brackets that may be holding it in place.
5. Carefully remove the wires from the water valve and set them aside.
6. Remove any clamps or brackets that may be holding the water valve in place, then unscrew the nuts that secure it to the refrigerator.
7. Carefully remove the water valve from the refrigerator and discard it.
8. Insert the new WR55X11128 GE Water Valve Iso Assembly into the same spot you removed the previous water valve from. Make sure to line up the mounting holes.
9. Secure the new water valve with the screws, clamps, and/or brackets that held the old water valve in place.
10. Reconnect the wires to the new water valve, making sure they are firmly secured.
11. Replace the panel on the back of the refrigerator and replace the screws to secure it.
12. Plug the refrigerator back into its power source.
13. Test the new water valve by turning on the water supply and opening the ice maker compartment to make sure it is getting water.
14. If all is working correctly, enjoy your replaced water valve!
