1. Shut off the power to the fridge before beginning this repair. Unplug it from the wall or turn off the power at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the screws at the top of the evaporator compartment cover, and remove the cover.
3. Locate the fan bracket, which is located just under the evaporator. It is usually held in place by two (2) mounting screws.
4. Remove the screws that secure the fan bracket to the evaporator.
5. Once the screws are removed, the old fan bracket can be taken out and a new one can be put into place.
6. Secure the new fan bracket in place with the screws you removed in step 4.
7. Re-install the evaporator compartment cover, securing it with the screws you removed in step 2.
8. Turn the power back on and test to make sure the fan bracket is working properly.
