Step 1: Unplug the dryer power cord from the wall outlet.
Step 2: Remove the four old screws holding the front of the dryer in place and pull the dryer away from the wall a few inches.
Step 3: Loosen the bolt on the top of the dryer with a socket wrench to remove the drum.
Step 4: Remove the front panel, hub nut assembly, and the two washers that surround the drive shaft.
Step 5: Align the new GE WH49X27328 KIT TUB 24 HUB NUT WASHERS & BOLT, and position the washers around the drive shaft.
Step 6: Fasten the new assembly with the included bolts, making sure they’re tight.
Step 7: Place the drum back in the dryer and tighten the top bolt with the socket wrench.
Step 8: Re-assemble the front of the dryer, and plug the power cord back in the wall outlet.
Your dryer should now be ready for use with the new GE WH49X27328 KIT TUB 24 HUB NUT WASHERS & BOLT.
