Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing the WH38X10018 GE Gear Case Pulley
1. Unplug the washer from its power source and remove the water supply hoses.
2. Remove the screws that secure the back panel to the side of the washer.
3. Locate the gear case pulley, which is located at the bottom center of the washer.
4. Disconnect the motor wiring from the motor terminal block.
5. Use a wrench to remove the three nuts that secure the gear case pulley.
6. Pull the gear case pulley off of the motor shaft.
7. Slide the new gear case pulley onto the motor shaft and secure it with the three nuts.
8. Reconnect the motor wiring to the motor terminal block.
9. Reinstall the back panel to the side of the washer and replace the screws.
10. Plug the washer in and reconnect the water supply hoses.
