Replacing the GE WH16X26909 ROD & SPRING ASM LEFT - BLUE:
1. Unplug the power to your washing machine from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the back panel of the washing machine by taking out the screws that secure it in place.
3. Locate the old rod & spring assembly on the left side and remove any screws that are holding it in place.
4. Carefully lift the old assembly out of the washer.
5. Place the new GE WH16X26909 rod & spring assembly in the same spot, lining up the holes for the screws.
6. Make sure the assembly is securely in place and then reinstall the screws.
7. Replace the back panel and tighten the screws to secure it in place.
8. Plug the power back into the wall outlet and you’re finished.
