Replacing the WH16X10159 GE Suspension Rod, Rear Mount
1. Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet and shut off the water supply valves.
2. Remove the screws securing the back panel and remove the panel from the washing machine.
3. Locate the existing suspension rod at the rear of the washer, and then use a socket wrench to loosen the locking nut that holds the suspension rod in place.
4. Pull the suspension rod out of the washer and discard it.
5. Take the new suspension rod and slide it into the washer at the rear. Make sure to align the slots or hooks on the suspension rod with the mounting brackets inside the washer.
6. Secure the new suspension rod in place by reattaching the locking nut with the socket wrench.
7. Reattach the back panel to the washer and secure it with the screws.
8. Plug the washing machine into the electrical outlet and turn on the water supply valves.
Your GE suspension rod, rear mount should now be replaced and your washer should be ready to go!
