1. Disconnect the power from the washing machine and pull it away from the wall.
2. Unscrew the screws holding the top panel of the washer in place.
3. Carefully lift the top panel off and remove the agitator.
4. Find the broken slide assembly on the left side of the washer and remove it by pulling it straight out.
5. Take the new GE WH16X10099 SLIDE ASM and slide it into place. Make sure it is securely seated in the washer.
6. Replace the agitator and top panel with your screws to secure them.
7. Plug the washer back in and test it out to ensure it is functioning properly.
