DIY – How to Replace the WH13X27314 General Electric Washer/Dryer Water Inlet Valve

If you're dealing with a broken water inlet valve on your General Electric washer or dryer, there's no need to call a repairman. With just a few simple tools and a bit of DIY know-how, you can replace the WH13X27314 water inlet valve yourself! Here's what you'll need to get started:

Tools:
-Standard screwdriver
-Adjustable wrench
-Pliers

Materials:
-New WH13X27314 water inlet valve
-Wire connectors

Instructions:
1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply.

2. Open the access panel to the back of the washer or dryer.

3. Disconnect the hoses connecting the water inlet valve to the washer/dryer and remove the mounting screws with a standard screwdriver.

4. Carefully remove the damaged water inlet valve and discard it.

5. Connect the wires of the new WH13X27314 water inlet valve to the existing wires using wire connectors.

6. Use an adjustable wrench to secure the new water inlet valve to the washer/dryer.

7. Attach the hoses to the new water inlet valve and tighten them securely with pliers.

8. Close the access panel and plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

9. Turn on the water supply and test the new water inlet valve by turning the dials on the washer/dryer.
