1. Firstly, unplug your washing machine from the power source and close the water supply valves.
2. Next, undress the access panel and then procure the necessary tools like a Phillips screwdriver, hex wrench set, pliers and a pocket knife.
3. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws which are retaining the drum and tub assembly in place.
4. Now take out the motor pulley from the rear of the washer and identify the GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly.
5. Carefully remove the set screw that is holding the GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly in place by using a hex wrench.
6. Pull out the malfunctioning motor assembly and put aside it.
7. Acquire the new WH01X10608 GE Set Screw Pulley Motor Assembly and insert in its place.
8. Then secure it in position with the set screw while ensuring that the threads are properly aligned.
9. Rejoin the motor pulley in the hollowed space in the rear of the washer.
10. Place back the screws to fasten the drum and tub assembly and join the access panel back.
11. Reopen the water supply valves and finally switch on the power supply to your washing machine.
