1. First, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and disconnect the drum from the power source to prevent injuries from electric shocks.
2. Remove the screws from the bearing plate at the rear of the dryer using a Phillip's head screwdriver.
3. Pull the bearing out of the dryer and discard it.
4. Place the new GE WE3X87 Rear Drum Slide Bearing into the dryer's frame.
5. Secure the bearing into place with the screws you removed in step two.
6. Re-connect the drum to the power source and plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
7. Test the dryer to ensure the new bearing is functioning properly.
