Step 1: Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.
Step 2: Remove the bezel and the screws securing it to the washer's top panel.
Step 3: Find the knob-latch handle and remove it by using a flat head screwdriver to pry it off.
Step 4: Take a look at the existing knob/latch handle and compare it to the new GE WD9X351 KNOB,LTCH HNDR.
Step 5: Push the plastic post of the new knob/latch handle into the hole in the washer’s console.
Step 6: Secure the new knob/latch handle by tightening the retaining nut with a screwdriver.
Step 7: Test out the function of the knob/latch handle.
Step 8: Replace the bezel and the screws.
Step 9: Plug the appliance back into the electrical outlet.
