Step 1: Shut off power to the dishwasher. Unplug the power cord or turn off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Remove the dishwasher kickplate by unscrewing the screws.
Step 3: Locate the WD21X10494 GE turbidity sensor near the bottom of the dishwasher.
Step 4: Disconnect the wires from the back of the turbidity sensor.
Step 5: Remove the retaining screws from the sensor and remove it from the dishwasher.
Step 6: Install the new WD21X10494 GE turbidity sensor by aligning the pins on the back of the sensor with the holes in the dishwasher’s chassis.
Step 7: Secure the new turbidity sensor using the retaining screws.
Step 8: Reconnect the wires to the back of the sensor.
Step 9: Replace the dishwasher kickplate and secure it with the screws.
Step 10: Turn on the circuit breaker or plug in the power cord and test the operation of the dishwasher.
