1. Unplug the appliance and shut off the water supply to the dishwasher.
2. Put on protective gloves, a face mask, and safety glasses before starting the repair.
3. Open the dishwasher door and remove the lower rack.
4. Locate the WD12X22503 GE Hub Upper Spray Arm and remove its retaining clip using a screwdriver.
5. Detach the spray arm from the hub and lift it out of the dishwasher basin.
6. Put the new spray arm in place and attach the clip to secure it.
7. Reinstall the lower rack and close the dishwasher door.
8. Turn on the water supply to the dishwasher and plug it back in.
9. Run a cycle to test the new spray arm and ensure proper operation.
