1. Start by unplugging the power cord of your GE WB35X37968 Bottom Oven and Deflector A.
2. Find the two screws, located on either side of the oven door. Remove these screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Carefully open the oven door and examine the interior. You should see two metal plates that are held in place with several screws. Using your screwdriver, remove the screws securing the plates. Then, remove the plates from the oven.
4. The deflector sits on top of the old element. Carefully remove the deflector by disconnecting the wiring and unscrewing the retaining screws.
5. Take the new deflector and carefully place it in the same position as the old one. Securely tighten the retaining screws.
6. Take the new bottom oven element and place it where the old one was. Securely tighten the screws that hold the element in place.
7. Connect the wiring to the new element and replace the two metal plates. Securely tighten the screws holding the plates in place.
8. Replace the two screws on either side of the oven door that were removed in step 2.
9. Plug the power cord back into the oven and you’re done! Your GE WB35X37968 Bottom Oven and Deflector A is now replaced.
