DIY Instructions: How to Replace the GE WB31X20643 GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV
1. Gather the necessary tools for the job: flathead screwdriver, a Phillips head screwdriver, an adjustable wrench, a vice grip, pliers, and a pair of heavy-duty gloves.
2. Unplug the range from the power source and make sure it is completely disconnected.
3. Carefully lift up the range top and remove the grates. Unscrew the mounting screws that attach the old GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV to the range top.
4. Using the vice grip, carefully loosen the connecting screws that hold the GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV together.
5. Once the old GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV is detached, carefully place it aside.
6. Slide the new GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV into the same position. Secure it using the same set of connecting screws.
7. Reattach the grates to the range top and secure them with the screws.
8. Plug the range back into the power source, and your new GRATE ASM HAIRPIN HV is ready for use.
