2.Turn Off the Gas Supply: Before you begin any type of gas appliance repair, it is imperative that you turn off the gas supply so that there is no danger of the gas leaking throughout the process. Locate the main shutoff valve and turn the handle parallel to the line to turn off the gas.
3.Disconnect the Gas Line: Carefully disconnect the gas line from the shutoff valve and set aside for future re-connection. Once the line is disconnected, you can remove the existing conversion kit.
