Step 1: Preparation
- Unplug your stove from the power source to ensure safety while working.
- Locate the existing igniter glow bar and remove it. This can be done by unscrewing any screws holding it in place and/or gently pulling it away from the casing.
Step 2: Install the New Igniter Glow Bar
- Remove the new GE WB28X20446 Igniter Glow Bar from the packaging.
- Ensure the new bar is securely connected to the stove’s wiring harness.
- Securely install the new igniter glow bar into the casing of the stove.
Step 3: Testing
- Plug the stove back into the power source.
- Set the oven temperature to 350°F (177°C).
- Observe the new igniter glow bar. It should spark once the desired temperature is reached, which should indicate that it is working properly.
