Step 1: Turn off the water supply to your sink. This is typically located in the basement, or under your kitchen or bathroom sink.
Step 2: Disconnect the supply line from the old filter by unscrewing the tubing from the filter head. Be sure to make note of the direction it was connected to the filter head as this will assist in the installation of the new filter.
Step 3: Unscrew the mounting bracket located at the bottom of the filter housing and remove the old filter.
Step 4: Take the new FXUTC GE 14" Universal Household Under Sink Water Filter and install it in the mounting bracket. Secure the filter using the same screws you used to remove the old filter.
Step 5: Place the supply line back on the filter head. Make sure to tie the tubing off if necessary and secure it in place with the included clamps.
Step 6: Re-connect the water supply to the sink.
Step 7: Turn on the water supply to make sure that everything is connected properly and that there are no leaks.
Step 8: Flush the filter for up to 5 minutes to clear out any dust or debris that may be left over from the filter’s shipping process.
Step 9: Test the water filter for function.
