To access the part, remove the screws from the lint screen if necessary and use a putty knife to release the tabs holding the top panel of the dryer on. The door switch is located in the upper corner of the dryer next to the switch actuator. The new switch may have an extra wire that isn't used. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience.
