The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve Kit allows water to flow to the freezer so the appliance can generate ice. If the icemaker of your appliance stops making ice, or if you ... notice water at the bottom of the freezer, the water inlet valve kit could be malfunctioning and need to be replaced. This part is located on the right side of the appliance. The package includes (1) dual inlet water valve kit with filter; note that this part replaces older problematic “Y” style connectors and may require you to trim your existing water line. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and intermediate repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator’s water supply before you begin.
