Step 2: Carefully open the window. Use a flathead screwdriver to undo the screws that hold the window sash in place. Then lift the window sash out of its frame.
Step 3: Remove the old hinge-window. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the hinge-window in place.
Step 4: Clean the frame. Use a putty knife to scrape away any built-up debris or residue from the frame around the window. Then use a damp cloth to clean the frame.
Step 5: Apply lubricant to the frame. This will make it easier for the new hinge-window to slide into place.
