Replacing the 00428344 Bosch Dishwasher Bearing
1. Disconnect the power. Before starting any repairs, disconnect the power to your dishwasher. Make sure it is unplugged from the wall or powered off at the circuit breaker.
2. Drain the water. Unscrew the hose connected to the drain of your dishwasher and slowly release the remaining water until the dishwasher is completely empty.
3. Remove the inner panel. There are usually two screws on the top inside panels of a Bosch dishwasher that will need to be removed with a screwdriver before the panel can be carefully slid away from the machine.
4. Locate the bearings. Once the interior panel is removed, the bearing should be clearly visible on the side of the dishwasher’s motor.
5. Replace the bearing. Use a socket wrench to loosen the old bearing and then remove it. Replace it with the new bearing and tighten it securely with the socket wrench.
6. Test the motor. Plug the motor back into its power source and turn it on to test its functionality. If it runs smoothly, the bearing has been replaced correctly.
7. Reattach the panel. Carefully slide the inner panel back into place and re-secure the two screws with a screwdriver.
