Replacing the 00189324 Bosch Range/Cooktop Ignition Plug Head Assembly
Tools Required:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Wrench
1. Unplug the power cord from your Bosch range or cooktop.
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen and remove the 3 screws that hold the cover plate in place.
3. Carefully remove the cover plate and set it aside.
4. Locate the ignition plug head assembly (00189324) and disconnect the wires by pulling them off the terminals.
5. Using a flat-head screwdriver, loosen the screws that secure the ignition plug head assembly to the base of the unit.
6. Carefully pull the ignition plug head assembly out of the unit.
7. Take your replacement ignition plug head assembly and make sure its wiring matches the existing wiring. If necessary make the connections with a wrench.
8. Insert the new ignition plug head assembly into the unit and secure it with the screws.
9. Reconnect the wires to the terminals.
10. Replace the cover plate and secure it with the screws.
11. Plug the power cord back into the outlet and test the new ignition plug head assembly.
