DIY Instructions for Replacing the Bosch Dishwasher Soap Dispenser Tray Latch With Spring (Part Number: 00166630)
Tools and Materials Needed:
• Bosch dishwasher soap dispenser tray latch with spring (Part Number: 00166630)
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Flathead screwdriver
• Pliers
Step 1: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the dishwasher from its power source.
Step 2: Remove the interior door panel of the dishwasher to gain access to the inside. On some models, the screws will be located on the top, while on others they may be at the bottom. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the panel in place.
Step 3: Identify the old soap dispenser tray latch and spring. The latch is usually located right next to the control board. Unscrew the two screws securing the latch.
Step 4: Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the latch off of its mount. If it is stuck in place, use a pair of pliers to help remove it from the mount.
Step 5: Take the new dishwasher soap dispenser tray latch with spring and attach it onto the mount. Secure it with the two screws that were used for the old latch.
Step 6: Once the new latch is securely attached, replace the interior door panel. Make sure to secure the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver in order to ensure the latch is held in place.
Step 7: Reconnect the dishwasher to its power source and complete the repair.
