This Gas Oven Igniter Assembly will replace a broken bake or broil igniter in your gas range. You may need this part if the element no longer lights, or if the igniter of your ... oven glows for more than 90 seconds without lighting the gas flame – this indicates that the igniter is too weak to properly open the valve to allow the gas to feed through. Note that the igniter must glow white hot to properly light the oven; if it glows red or orange it is not functioning properly.
