The Washer Suspension Spring Bracket supports the washer’s suspension spring. If your washer is out of balance, check to see if the bracket is damaged, causing the spring to fall off. In order to access the part, you'll loosen the screws from the console and open that up, then remove the cabinet of the washer from the back wall. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
