WP2183805 Whirlpool Door Stop
This Refrigerator Door Stop Bracket protects the door, refrigerator and surrounding cabinets from damage by limiting the swing of the door. Before starting the repair, be sure to remove all items from the fridge shelves. Remove the hinge cover and use a 5/16 socket wrench to remove the hinge from the refrigerator. Release the tape and remove the freezer door. You can then remove the old door stop bracket with a screwdriver. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Replacing a Whirlpool WP2183805 Bracket
Tools You'll Need:
• Flathead screwdriver
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Pliers
Instructions:
1. Unplug the appliance and turn off the power to the unit before replacing the bracket.
2. Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully remove any cover or insulation that may be blocking access to the bracket.
3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the four screws holding the bracket in place.
4. Carefully remove the old bracket and set aside.

6. Position the new bracket in the same location as the old one.
