This Top Load Washer Timer Knob, is a white control knob with chrome insert for laundry appliances. The knob lets you control the cycle settings of your washer and fits a d-sh ...aped shaft. If your current knob is missing or damaged, replacing it may alleviate these issues. In order to access the part, you'll remove the screws securing the top control panel of the washer, lift that back and use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull out the catch that holds the timer knob in. Remove the old knob by pulling it straight off its post. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the hot and cold water supplies to your washer.
