Replacing the Scotsman Ice 11-0504-01 Pressure Switch: A DIY Guide
1. Before you start, make sure to turn off power and water supply to the ice machine. Unplug the machine from the outlet, and shut off the water valve supplying the ice machine.
2. Remove the plastic cover from the rear of the machine (or front depending on the model) by removing the screws that hold it in place.
3. Locate the pressure switch which is typically connected to a red, clear blue or black colored tube on the rear of the machine. The pressure switch will have two wires connecting it to the power source.
4. To remove the pressure switch, use a screwdriver or nut driver to disconnect the two connecting wires while carefully holding the old pressure switch.
5. Insert the new pressure switch into the same place where the old pressure switch was originally located.
6. Secure the new pressure switch to the bracket with the nut driver or screwdriver.
7. Reattach the two wires that were removed from the original pressure switch. Make sure to firmly tighten each wire and check for any loose connections.
8. Replace the plastic cover by using the screws that were previously removed.
9. Lastly, make sure to plug in the machine and turn both the power and water back on.
