It then automatically ejects the ice and refills to continue the process until the ice storage is full. If your ice maker isn't working as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Note that you will need to re-use the auger arm, cover and bracket from your existing ice maker to properly install the new assembly. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience.
