The washplate is located in the bottom of you ...r washer's washer tub. To access the part, open the washer lid and remove the cap of the plate with a flat head screwdriver. Then use your ratchet to loosen the bolt inside the plate so you can remove the old part. If your new washplate didn't come with the the metal shield, you can transfer it over from your old washplate. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience.
