Replacing the GE WR12X32350 BLACK 2019 VBL HANDLE SET DIY Instructions
1. Begin by uninstalling the existing handle set. To do so, open the door and look for a small hole in the edge of the handle. Take a hex wrench, insert it into the hole to unscrew the handle, and then pull it straight off to remove it.
2. Now slide the new handle over the latch and secure it in place with the screws provided in the package. Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver until the handle is firmly attached to the door.
3. With the attached handle, you need to fit the lock body. Open the door and locate the latch cutout. Then take the lock body and slide it into the latch cutout. Secure the lock body by tightening two screws on the inside of the door.
4. Next, attach the latch tongue to the lock body. Place the tongue on the lock body so that it's aligned with the top and bottom pins. Make sure that the pins are pointing up and down, not left and right. Then secure the tongue with two screws from the opposite side of the door.
5. Now, your new handle set is ready to use. Close the door and test the handle to make sure that the latch is engaging properly.
Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
