Step-by-Step DIY Instructions for Replacing the GE WH44X10282 Cover Top

1. Unplug the washing machine. It's important to do this to ensure your safety while working on the machine.

2. Access the top panel of the washer by removing the screws along the sides and back of the unit. Slide the top panel off, then remove the screws securing the cover top to the washer.

3. Lift off the old cover top, then place the new cover top in its place. Make sure it is aligned correctly and the screws are lined up with the holes in the top panel.

4. Start replacing the removed screws one at a time, making sure each one is tightened securely.

5. Replace the top panel and secure it with the previously removed screws.

6. Plug the washing machine back in and you're all done!
