1. Begin by unplugging the power cord to cut off electricity and prevent accidental shocks.
2. Remove the two screws at the back of the washer with a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Pull off the main console of the washer and carefully set it aside.
4. Locate the access plate on the transmission side and remove the screws securing it.
5. Take the belt from the pulley and remove the belt guard.
6. Remove the four screws that secure the clutch and take the clutch off from the wet end of the transmission.
7. Install the new GE WH05X24185 clutch and replace the four screws.
8. Reattach the belt, pulley, and access plate and replace the screws.
9. Put the main console back onto the washer and secure it with the two screws.
10. Plug the power cord back in, and you're done!
