Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing an MSWF GE Water Filter
1. Locate the filter compartment and unscrew it from the base of the refrigerator.
2. Pull out the old filter and discard it correctly.
3. Take the new filter out of the package and check to ensure that it is the correct replacement filter for your refrigerator model.
4. Align the arrows on the filter with the filter housing, and then insert the filter into the compartment.
5. Twist the filter to secure it in place.
6. Turn on the water supply line and run it through the filter for 3-5 minutes to flush out any debris that may have been present in the filter.
7. Check to make sure the filter is working properly by running water through the dispenser and checking for a slow flow or discoloration.
8. If necessary, reset your refrigerator's water filter indicator.
9. Dispose of the old filter responsibly according to local regulations.
