This Range Surface Burner Control Switch is a replacement part that operates your appliance's surface element, turning it off and on and regulating its heat intensity. This sw ...itch (also called the infinite switch) is for a dual-sized burner, series M, and sends voltage to the surface element coils. If your element remains at high heat or doesn’t turn on at all, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. In order to access this part, you'll remove the screws from the back panel of the range and remove it. If your model has individual wires connecting the switch, make sure you swap them out one at a time. Note that taking a digital photograph of the current wiring connections before replacing this part is advisable to aid with proper installation. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience.
