This Gas Oven Flat Style Igniter Kit replaces shorter or longer igniters for either bake or broil burners. You may need this part if the element itself shorted out, or if the ...igniter of your oven glows for more than 90 seconds without lighting the gas flame -- this indicates that the igniter is too weak to properly open the valve to allow the gas to feed through. The igniter must glow white hot to correctly light the oven; if it glows red or orange it is not functioning as it should. Bracket and connector not included. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the oven and novice repair experience.
