This Top Load Washer Drain Pump removes waste water from your top-load washer during the drain portion of the wash cycle. The pump is driven by the main drive belt that also d ...rives the transmission pulley. If your washer doesn’t drain properly, then the pump may be clogged, damaged or defective and replacing it may alleviate these issues. Note that a defective pump may also cause a small leak to occur at the front of the washer. To access the pump, you'll need to remove the cabinet from the washer.
