The only difference between the high limit th ...ermostat and the operating thermostat is their opening and closing temperatures. If your dryer won’t heat, this part might be defective and should be replaced. Thermistor should read around 50 to 60Kohms at room temperature. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience.
