The motor causes your washer to spin, agitate, and drain properly during the washing cycle. If your washer no longer spins or agitates, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. This motor is a single speed motor (120 volt). When accessing the old motor, be sure to remove the ground wire and the base from it so you can transfer these to the new motor before installing. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
