This Dryer High Limit Thermostat protects your dryer from overheating by cutting off power if the dryer gets too hot. If the dryer won't heat, the high-limit thermostat may ha ...ve blown. This part has been updated by the manufacturer. The new thermostat may differ in appearance, but will have the same function. The part is located behind the front access panel of the dryer. When replacing, make note of the the position of the colored wires when disconnecting. Both the thermostat and fuse can be tested to determine if either is defective.
